shoestring nosedive pearldrop

The days are getting longer, the birds are getting frisky and I feel like taking flight though that is nowhere in sight. Today has been one of those days when song lyrics seem to be infused with grand meaning and everything has potency. I have been doing this somewhat hokey thing, eating habanero peppers everday to increase vitality, and whether it is genuine or imagined, I feel the fire peeling through me like a kid on a motorcycle. I have been waking at 5:45 am and doing yoga and the whole process of setting an intention for the day has really taken root, I find it quite easy to be more generous and positive and appreciative when I have set forth with that intention.

I found a succulent today, it is that crazy plastic-y pink that succulents get, and looks like a long bell, but the end is split, like a swirly cloven hoof, from between the two marvelous swirls shoots a stunning anther shooting far out past the little bonnet of the flower but then glancing back at it, like Orpheus.

The hummingbirds are mating and it looks dangerous. I watched a couple this afternoon, against the brilliant blue sky with sakura blossoms floating on the wind, the female, with her bark coloured tail feathers sat on a branch and the male kept zooming back and forth by her, each time grazing her again.

Received a beautiful package from Jen and Raven last night full of chocolate and soap, all thse glorious hand made soaps with fragrances like lemondrop and fig and leaves, Satsuma has stolen my heart though! The whole apartment smells fruity herbal like an exotic bath or the dressing room of a dutchess…
